05Merit Scholarship
| 26.05.2025Keiser University, HCMC encourages new students to pursue scholarship opportunities for their studies in Vietnam if they meet the eligibility criteria. These scholarships not only alleviate financial burdens for students but also serve as an honor and a strong testament to the academic capabilities developed in previous education, talents in various fields, and a spirit of community contribution and service. Typically, students may also find it easier to process visa applications and continue to pursue valuable scholarships for their transition to studying abroad in the U.S. and other countries.
Below is the information regarding scholarship programs for new students with a total value of up to 12 billion VND. These scholarship programs will be applicable during the first two years at our campuses in Ho Chi Minh:
A. KUV ELITE SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Requirements:
- Achieve an average score of 9.0/10.0 or higher for the entire 12th grade year, or an equivalent converted score if the candidate graduates from equivalent programs outside the general education system in Vietnam; and
- Attain an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher (with no skill below 6.0 and valid for 24 months from the date of the exam) or equivalent English language certificates; and
- Obtain awards/certificates/commendations from Bronze level (or equivalent) for academic, artistic, sports, technology, and other activities at the city level or higher.
Scholarship Amount
Up to 80% (equivalent to 309,120,000 VND over 2 years in Vietnam)

B. KUV GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Requirements:
- Achieve an average score of 8.0/10.0 or higher for the entire 12th grade year, or an equivalent converted score if the candidate graduates from equivalent programs outside the general education system in Vietnam; and
- Attain an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (with no skill below 6.0 and valid for 24 months from the date of the exam) or equivalent English language certificates;
- Receiving awards/certificates/commendations for academic, artistic, sports, technology, and other activities at the school level or higher is an advantage.
Scholarship Amount: Up to 50% (equivalent to 193,200,000 VND over 2 years in Vietnam)
Number of Scholarships Awarded Annually: 20
C. KUV LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Requirements:
- Achieve an average score of 7.0/10.0 or higher for the entire 12th grade year, or an equivalent converted score if the candidate graduates from equivalent programs outside the general education system in Vietnam; and
- Attain an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher (valid for 24 months from the date of the exam) or equivalent English language certificates;
- Receiving awards/certificates/commendations for academic, artistic, sports, technology, and other activities at the school level or higher is an advantage.
Scholarship Amount
Up to 30% (equivalent to 115,920,000 VND over 2 years in Vietnam)

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Step 1: After completing the submission of the application package for admission to Keiser University, HCMC, according to the current admission regulations, applicants should proceed to submit the Scholarship Application package. The application package includes:
- Scholarship Application Form
- 02 passport-sized photos (4x6) with a white background, taken within the last 06 months
- Other supporting documents:
If this document is not in English, the candidate needs to attach an English translation.
- A recommendation letter from a school, teacher, or organization that the candidate has participated in or collaborated with.
- Documents evidencing student activities, awards, or other qualifications.
Step 2: The applicant will receive the essay topic from the Scholarship Council and must complete it within 05 days from the date the topic is communicated via the applicant's email. This essay is encouraged to be at least 1,500 words and should not exceed 2,000 words.
Important note: The essay must be written by the candidate themselves. If the essay is the product of AI technology or if plagiarism exceeds 5%, the candidate will be disqualified from the application process.
Step 3: The applicant will participate in an interview with the Scholarship Council according to a schedule distributed by the coordinator of the Scholarship Council.
Step 4: After the results are announced, the candidate will complete the confirmation procedures and finalize the remaining steps for official enrollment.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- The scholarship results are valid for 5 months from the announcement date. After this period, if the applicant does not complete the confirmation and official enrollment procedures, the results will be automatically void.
- Applicants who participated in the scholarship competition but did not complete the confirmation and enrollment procedures may reapply after 12 months.
- In cases where applicants wish to enroll in terms preceding the next scholarship assessment, they will be refunded the scholarship amount achieved for the tuition fees of the previous terms.
- The announced scholarship results will apply to a maximum of the first 39 credits. Beyond this, the scholarship results will be reevaluated based on the GPA of these 39 completed credits and other relevant criteria.
- Scholarship awards are not redeemable for cash and do not apply to cases of retaking courses, disciplinary actions, or registering for a second major.
