Admission Requirements
The Keiser University program offered at Ho Chi Minh City campus is entirely consistent and identical to the program at Keiser University in Florida. Consequently, admission standards and academic calendars are fully aligned with the requirements at Keiser University, Florida. The specific admission requirements are as follows:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED, SACE, WACE,...)
- Possess an English proficiency certificate such as IELTS 6.0 or higher (or TOEFL iBT, Duolingo, etc.) with a validity period of no more than 24 months from the test date, while meeting the international program entry standards as required by the Vietnamese Education Law.
- SAT/ACT scores or meeting the Wonderlic assessment requirements.
Note: Students who have not taken the certifications mentioned in (2) and (3) can participate in the Florida entrance assessment. If the result of this assessment meets the standard, students can enroll in their chosen majors. In cases where the score is not sufficient, students may need to study at the corresponding EAP level based on the actual assessment result.
Majors
Students enrolled in Keiser University’s program are not required to commit to a single major throughout their 4-year undergraduate journey. Instead, students begin their first 2 years by selecting one of several broad academic majors. During this period, they accumulate credits in General Education courses, Foundational major courses, and Specialized courses within their chosen track. This 2-year phase serves as a critical period for students to solidify their career choices by gaining direct exposure to various professional fields within their track, enabling them to make decisions about their academic & professional paths.
Following the initial 2-year program, students select a specialized major to pursue during the subsequent 2 years of their undergraduate studies.
Below are the fields of study that students can choose for their first two years of the program in HCMC before moving on to a wider range of specialized options for the final two years
-
Business Administration
-
Information Technology
- Computer Networking Concentration
- Programming Concentration
- Cybersecurity Concentration
-
Hospitality
Degree & Transcript Issuance
Upon completing the enrollment process, students will be assigned a student ID by Keiser University, Florida. Keiser University will also issue transcripts and diplomas to students upon accumulating the required number of credits and meeting the graduation conditions of the training program.
Curriculum
Students at Keiser University, HCMC can flexibly choose a curriculum that suits their own plans. Students can select one of the following pathways (green represents the study period in Vietnam, yellow represents the study abroad transfer period):
1. Partial study abroad in the US, Canada 2+2

This is the most common 2+2 pathway chosen by Keiser University, HCMC students. With this pathway, students will study the first two years of the program in Vietnam and receive an Associate Degree (2-year Bachelor's degree) awarded by Keiser University, Florida. After that, they will transfer to Keiser University, Florida, or to thousands of universities across the US, Canada, or other English-speaking countries to complete the final two years of the Bachelor's program (University Bachelor's degree). If students choose to transfer to other universities in the US, they will receive a Bachelor's degree from the university they transfer to.
The selection of a university for transfer study abroad in the US and Canada is not mandatory and is unlimited. The university encourages students to consider 3-5 schools and choose the university that best suits their financial capacity, desired major in the US or Canada, and other relevant factors.
Students are encouraged to use their GPA from the first two years at Keiser University, HCMC, to seek scholarship opportunities from partner universities in the US and Canada. Students can seek support from Keiser University, HCMC's transfer support department to maximize these opportunities.
2. Study the entire program in Vietnam

This can be considered the most economical option for the entire bachelor's program as it allows for savings on living expenses in the U.S., while also applying a tuition fee that is only 1/6 of studying directly in the US (approximately 168 million VND/year).
Even if students decide to transfer abroad after completing the first two years of the Associate program, instead of studying all four years in Vietnam as initially planned, they can still flexibly transfer via the 2+2 pathway outlined below.
3. Pathway 3+1

This pathway is suitable for students who wish to spend most of their study time in Vietnam to save costs, but still want enough time to experience studying in another country. With this pathway, students can consider studying the 2-year Associate Degree program and 1 year of specialized major study right here in Vietnam. After completing the Year 3 program, students can transfer to Keiser University, Florida, to complete their final year and receive a Keiser Bachelor's degree, or choose to transfer to other universities in the US or other countries (similar to the 2+2 pathway).
Note: With this pathway, because the credits in the third year delve into highly specialized areas, the flexibility for transferring these third-year credits will be more limited. Specifically, if you expect to change majors during this period, there will be many restrictions, or you may need to study a significantly larger number of additional credits compared to a transfer student in the same field.
4. Pathway 2+1+1 Vietnam - Switzerland - US

This study pathway is suitable for students pursuing majors in the Service sector (Hospitality) or Business sector (International Business). Accordingly:
- Phase 1: Students will study the first two years of the program at Keiser University, HCMC.
- Phase 2: Students will study an intensive program for approximately one year in Switzerland (room, board, and study are residential, with an average total cost of CHF 39,000/year).
- Phase 3: Students participate in a one-year paid internship program in the US, Switzerland, European countries, or other regions.
Upon completion of the internship program, students receive a Bachelor's degree in their chosen major. Simultaneously, they can seek opportunities to continue working at their previous internship locations or pursue Master's and Doctoral degrees accordingly.
5. Pathway 1+3

The 1+3 pathway is suitable for students who wish to pursue specialized majors not yet offered in Vietnam (e.g., Psychology, Biotechnology, Educational Management, Airport Management...). Accordingly, students will study General Education courses (a group of foundational subjects that most university students in the US will need to complete), and then transfer these credits to study abroad early from Year 2.
With this pathway, students will not be eligible to receive a Keiser University diploma (unless they transfer and continue their studies at Keiser University, Florida). Instead, students can still use their transcript for courses completed at Keiser University to transfer to their desired university in the US or other countries.
To optimize transfer outcomes, maximize study costs, and especially to enhance the chances of successfully obtaining a study visa, the university encourages students to accumulate a minimum of 60 credits in Vietnam before transferring. This is also the typical credit threshold to determine if a student qualifies as a transfer student and is eligible for associated benefits.
Training Duration
The actual training duration of the program follows the pace of credit accumulation for each student. The average study duration for the initial 2-year general education program is 1.5 to 2 years, and the Bachelor's program is 3.5 to 4 years. The time for students to complete the program and graduate may vary depending on the number of credits they enroll in each semester. This study duration does not include academic English study time if students need additional preparation before entering the specialized phase.
The total study duration must not exceed the training duration specified by Keiser University, the regulations of the state of Florida, and the regulations of the Vietnamese Education Law.
Tuition Fees & Charges
The tuition fees for Keiser University programs implemented in Vietnam will be officially announced at the beginning of each academic year and will be quoted in Vietnamese Dong, calculated per credit. Typically, tuition fees will remain fixed throughout the standard training period of the program and are unlikely to incur additional fees.
The disclosed tuition fees in the table below represent the fees before applying any scholarships or tuition discounts (if applicable). Students will pay tuition fees based on the actual number of credits (corresponding to the number of courses) they choose to enroll in each semester.
Below is detailed information on tuition fees for the first 2-year:
| Credit Count | Tuition Credit |
Total (estimated) |
|
|
YEAR 1 |
39 | $223 | $6,690 |
|
YEAR 2 |
30 | $223 | $6,690 |
For students who choose to continue their final two years at Keiser University's international centers for the Upper level in Vietnam, tuition fees are as listed below:
| Level | Credit Count | Tuition Fee Per Credit |
Total (estimated) |
|
YEAR 3 |
30 | $253 | $7,590 |
|
YEAR 4 |
30 | $253 | $7,590 |
In cases where students are exempt from some courses or are awarded scholarships, the total tuition fees that students need to pay will be reduced accordingly. Below are some common scenarios:
- Students transferring from a college or university in the U.S., having completed some courses at the Associate or Bachelor's level (provided that the programs are accredited), may also be exempt from some corresponding courses if they match Keiser University's curriculum.
- Students transferring from a college or university in other countries, having completed some courses at the Associate level (provided that the programs are accredited), may need to undergo a transcript evaluation through the independent evaluation unit Silny to determine the exact number of matching courses with Keiser University's curriculum. The cost of this transcript evaluation usually ranges from $450 to $550 per transcript. Students can pay this fee directly to Silny or through KUV's support.
Tuition Fees during the Study Abroad Phase in the U.S.
In reality, besides having the freedom to choose to study the entire undergraduate program in Vietnam, students can also freely transfer to most universities in various states across the U.S., or choose universities in other countries such as the UK, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, etc., to continue the remaining stage of the undergraduate program as an international student in the U.S. transferring to another university within the U.S. or a different country. In this case, students will pay tuition fees according to the fee structure announced by the university they choose to transfer to for the remaining stage of the undergraduate program.
The tuition fees of universities in the U.S. and other countries vary greatly. This depends on the type of institution (public or private), varies by city or state, depends on the chosen major, or varies based on the tuition policies of each university for different student categories. Tuition fees can range from $10,000 to $60,000 or $80,000 per year.
Typically, most students who complete the first 2 years in Vietnam will easily qualify for scholarships or preferential tuition fee policies (for example, some U.S. universities allow students from the Institute to pay the in-state tuition fee reserved for state residents or U.S. citizens coming from other states...). Commonly observed tuition fee reductions range from 35% to 50% off the fees announced by the universities.
